AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh issued a strong warning against any attack on Iran, stating that any hostile action would be met with a decisive and devastating response from the Islamic Republic.
According to IRNA, addressing recent military threats from the U.S. Secretary of Defense, Nasirzadeh criticized American officials for presenting contradictory positions—expressing a willingness to negotiate while simultaneously issuing military threats against Iran.
He emphasized that Iran possesses a significant arsenal of missiles and would deploy them without hesitation if war were to be imposed, targeting adversaries wherever necessary. He firmly declared that any aggression against Iran would be met with overwhelming force.
Nasirzadeh warned that Iran would strike enemy interests and bases without restraint, reiterating that no limits would be observed in its response. While reaffirming Iran’s friendly stance toward neighboring countries, he cautioned that U.S. bases in the region would be considered legitimate targets in the event of conflict.
Highlighting Iran’s latest ballistic missile development, Nasirzadeh noted that the newly-designed solid-fueled missile boasts enhanced maneuverability compared to previous models and is resistant to advanced air defense systems, including THAAD, Patriot, and Israeli defenses.
The missile has a range of 1,200 km, he added.
